Just a bit of an update on things

So I've got many projects on the go and more to come. I am so excited to start some new ones. 

Recently for a friend of mine as a gift, I have been working on these adorable hats for his daughter. 

Aren't they adorable? Can't wait to see it on her. 

Some of the other items I have been working on I can't really share as they are Christmas gifts. Yup, working away early. I have 2 on the go right now. And then I'll have another 3 to do. And I'm trying to think of a 4th and 5th to do. Can't say who they are all for, as I believe the people who these blankets are for read my blog. So my lips are sealed until after Christmas!! Ahh! I'm dying to share my work, but can't.

Slouchy/Toque Hat

I've been working on trying to do a hat, and I have finally succeeded . Here is my slouchy hat. I have my mother modeling this for me.

Let's Talk...

This is a very personal post. This is kind of like a journal entry. I might be all over the place. My thoughts are just jumping around. But I am sharing it with you all. And I hope you don't judge me because of my mental health. My mental health issues is not a label, it's a diagnosis. 

Seeing as how this past Wednesday was Bell Let's Talk Day, regarding the stigma against mental health. I know a lot about mental health. I have mental health issues myself. I have major depressive disorder. I've suffered from it for quite sometime. Seeing as how I have chronic pain, that causes my depression to be about. Crocheting helps me. It gives me something to focus on and I love it. It gives me something to be better at, since I feel like I can't be "normal" like most people. I feel like a failure. And see, this here, this is the depression talking. I can't work. I feel useless, I feel like, no one is ever going to want to be with me. Who wants to be with someone who is depressed, and negative. I have been trying very very hard to be more positive and I had been. But, as of right now, it's not working. New medication is supposed to help with it, maybe in another couple weeks. Anyways, I think thats about it for now. There might be more posts about this in the future. But I hope everyone contributed to Bell Let's Talk.

On Wednesday's I have started to go to a group for Art Therapy. I completely LOVE it. I've only gone for 2 weeks. First we did Vision Boards. And then Mandala Art.

My Winter Work In Progresses

So for the first time since starting to crochet I have actually started a project. It's going to be a christmas present. Yes, I know we just had Christmas, but, I want to start on them now, as I have quite a few in mind. 

My first project is Sophie's Universe CAL from Lookatwhatimade.net. I am very excited to do this project. 
I won't be doing all this by myself but most of it will be done by me. When it isn't it's going to be done by my mother. This won't be completely complete until May 31st as Dedri and Kimberly have given this date as the final part of Sophie's Universe. 

I am so excited with how this is turning out :) 

My second project is mine and my mother's design. It's pretty much granny squares. 

I've done 6 different squares. How my mom and I are putting them together is taking 4 of each square and she's putting them together with a granny square border, not 100% and then doing a round around the block of 4. 

Here's the pattern we made. The colour that's the first round is the round that's on the outside. 

We have another couple other ideas of blankets. And then at the same time, I am still doing some squares from lookatwhatimade.net from the CAL from last year, and then mooglyblog.com has a CAL with squares as well. So I will be very busy this year and I completely LOVE IT!!
